Nhwa is an accomplished pharmaceutical manufacturer which was established in 1958, in Xuzhou, Eastern China. Nhwa is a general pharmaceutical company that specializes in the research and development of a variety of pharmaceutical drugs with a special focus on central nervous system medicines. With nearly sixty years of experience, Nhwa is China’s leading producer of central nervous system pharmaceuticals.

Nhwa holds four pharmaceutical subsidiaries, three research institutions, and three business subsidiaries with more than 3000 employees. As of July 2008, Nhwa has been listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Production base:
Jiangsu Nhwa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has three qualified production bases for GMP (good manufacturing practice) standards, including twenty GMP manufacturing workshops, involving in the production of 32 kinds of API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) and more than 100 kinds of pharmaceutical preparations. As for these preparations, they are mainly classified into three categories, anesthetics drugs, psychoactive drugs, and neuropathic drugs. Nhwa’s products are used in many mechanical areas, such as anesthesia, sedation, analgesia, antipsychotic, anti-anxiety/depression, anti-epileptic and so on.
All the manufacturing workshops, except the two which are about to start production, have passed the standards of CFDA (China Food and Drug Administration).

The Nhwa Pharmaceutical R&D center is designated as a national level research facility where our top scientists work on major nationwide scientific programs. In the past three years, six projects were approved as National “Significant New Drug Developments”. Some of the primary focuses of the R&D center cover cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, anesthesia and pain control, epilepsy, and psychiatric disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. We currently have over 100 products at various stages of development.
